PLS didn't have the luxury of diversification of customer when they built the plant. There was about 5 convertors in China to sell product to. They weathered the Lithium enema and are now in a position to choose with free cash flow spilling out of the safe. All the incumbents should be thankful to PLS and their outstanding management who laid the platform for all the others to forge their own path. Price discovery of spodumene being one of the obvious industry ground breakers. A master stroke that BMX platform. Existing off take customers are behaving nicely now.
If only that was the case several years ago.
