those 2 portfolios (growth and Income) don't change very much and are usually the default options for private client type portfolios. The addition of PLS isn't into those portfolios, it's been put into the Strategy Portfolio which is a different offer. The benefit of this is that Mac will have their own funds employed and would have been buying in the month or so prior to release. Mac Bank's trading desk often is at work in the background of these recommendations and if you watch some of the options positions it's often these guys setting the fund up for something in or out, although PLS only has warrants and not options so Mac would have been physically in the market.

On a personal level, most of my options positions are done with Mac advice so seeing PLS move into their trading strategy is why I started mucking around with warrants on PLS. Mac rates PLS to $4 so they must think there's still plenty of upside.
