A quick look at PLS / AKE comparative performance the last 12 months with a few key market moving events added.
I post this as I think some are thinking that PLS is underperforming but maybe its just a bit of catch up also at play IMO.
Up until AKE putting in new ATH twice in the past couple of weeks, PLS and AKE have pretty much hitting new ATH same day (if not hour) and retraces the bottoms the same day too.
Which is understandable considering they are both producers ramping up and benefitting from the similar pricing.
But as can be seen AKE lost its way a bit, due IMO lack of communication from the Management. Where as PLS have tended to be a bit more forward with info for shareholders. That changed with AKE investor day.
This now sees PLS and AKE converging again. PLS probably got a bit frothy after gaining 50% in 17 sessions Dec / Jan.
A BMX auction should be further confirmation signal that the spot pricing is flowing through to PLS revenue.
Interesting few weeks ahead.
