It all depends on which battery facilities, and whether the port will be, affected. Obviously Tesla Shanghai is the big one.
But BYD has drawn level with Tesla as the highest volume EV manufacturer in the world, and they don't build in Shanghai. And most cathode materials manufacturers are outside of Shanghai, too.
China produced well over 400k EVs during May. Not bad for lockdowns. That's more than a 120% increase on May 2021.
But you're right that it could definitely weigh on sentiment, which is PLS's main problem until we get word of a BMX auction/100ktpa FID/quarterly guidance.
