When/if Labor sort out the fuel emission standards the number of EVs exported will increase and price will come down - until then, there is no incentive for EV (European) manufacturers to export to Oz.
They get more "credits" for keeping them in Europe so they "dump" the high emission ICE vehicles here.
Hybrids may be the way to go here in OZ for the foreseeable future.
