There has been quite a few commenting/offering their expertise on short term trading here over the past week of so. Some saying it's gambling, a risky strategy, etc, etc. I believe its greed that forms those opinions, but for me it's not gambling, in that you can exit, jump back in at any time, halfway though the race, blah, blah, blah.

Last week, the trading action offered up ~200 cents, if you are disciplined and trade within that range, lets say milking only 100 cents, 20,000 units generate $20k in income, cash in the bank, while your long hold goes with the flow. Of course, the opposite applies when your long does the heavy lifting until a breather/consolidation period, not an exact science, but close to being best of both worlds IMO.
