The thing about Elliot Waves is that they are fractals. So you can work at any time slice - years, months, weeks, days, hours, etc down to minutes and there will be an EW pattern at each period cycle. Which you use depends on the share volatility and your subjective preference for sitting at the terminal during the day and chanting at the screen or whether you prefer a more conservative , time efficient chanting session of say once an hour, day or week. In the case of CSL, for example, it would seem that once a year or so is sufficient, or perhaps even once a half-decade (which makes it semi-decadent).
