"all EV car makers from 2025 onwards are going solid state batteries " ? Really? You've been reading too many Toyota press releases. Solid state batteries for EVs are a bit like nuclear fusion power. Except that they're always just 3 years down the road instead of 30. Toyota first starting making announcements about a solid state EV in about 2012 and every few years they dust it off, change the date and re-issue it. Dyson (the vacuum cleaner guy) was determined to make a solid state EV but gave up after spending a billion dollars. Every battery maker around the world has been trying to make a solid state battery cost-competitive to an Li-Ion battery but nobody is even close. Meanwhile Tesla, BYD, Samsung and others just keep on improving and refining Lithium.
I really do hope that someone makes a cost competitive solid state battery, just like I hope that somebody finally figures out fusion power. But I wouldn't be basing any investment choices on that hope.
