If Trump would put tariffs on EV to battle with China, I will be laughing, because there will be massive domestic market to be met before they looking any exports.
Alternatively, Trump asked China to reduce custom tax on imported vehicles, and China may agree to this, as local OEMs are quite competitive.
The real fear is China will be forced to stop huge amount of subsidies on EV ATM, so that the booming of EV will be paused, and the world will be heavily rely on oil again
