I am totally opposed to the attempts to impose penalties on the sacrifices many have made to their future provision. It is a slap in the face to those who've forgone consumption, belittles the sacrifices made and smacks of theft if you ask me. Short sighted policy to be sure, and unfairly discriminates, as you suggest, against younger workforce participants. A better solution would be to mandate percentages of fund spending on Australian infrastructure. And limiting short-selling to domestic funds only. That would stop foreign invaders. Super is ours, not theirs to pilfer.
