If battery prices are going to drop then we cannot expect lithium raw materials to keep increasing but rather for there to be a decline in the product price. Maybe not to the same extent but nevertheless reason to be cautious going forward. As factories increase output, competition will also increase thereby contributing to the price decline. Only so much of the decrease will be due to manufacturing efficiencies. As competion increases we can expect pressure to be put on suppliers of raw materials. On the plus side, most of the drop in cost already appears to have taken place and the rate of decrease is smaller going forward.
