In short selling, how transparent is it? I know about Shortman but for example is there opaque off market short selling? Could a short seller be lending shares to itself (a subsidiary of itself) or to other BEOTS who play the game of death by a thousand cuts like we’re seeing here at present? Is such manipulation legal? I thought highly orchestrated instructional market manikins is illegal? But it happens. How can we tell if the lenders are the sellers and the buyers and the returnees? Can shorters play their game amongst themselves as infinitum driving the price ever downwards in a small sand pit of say with 0.5-2 per cent of SOI being traded each day until ‘the market’ ‘sees value’. Look at TESLA. when it was $1000 US per share and had never paid a dividend. The markets are forward looking but also react to the present. Does naked short selling occur in Australia despite being illegal? Has ASIC ever investigated a case of naked short selling? Trading houses could smash the shorts if they engineered a squeeze but I suppose they’d wait until there was real world evidence to back them up such as price increases etc. An orchestrated squeeze would be illegal manipulation too wouldn’t it? Surely this can’t just keep going down and down and down….. Can it? Brokers are often proved wrong with their targets. Surprises for the market may be around the corner. I’ve seen this jump rapidly before. I’ll just close my eyes and think of England I think. Time in the markets not timing (for most of us). Belief in the product has not died so I’m holding like Buffet. Holders aren’t running for the doors. The great unwashed hold firm. It’s the shorters that will be sweating with such a high short rate.

Read up on Bill Hwang and how swaps work. You can have access to broke data and see how the net movement. Everyone said buffet. Warren Buffet does not invest in mining nor commodities... We don't have much choice as we are a mining nation unless we go trade on other exchanges.
