Thereis more manipulation in the stock market then you would ever see on aracetrack. I'm sure the key shorters have hedged their positions throughwarrants and options. I expect at the moment you could buy medium term optionson PLS reaching $5 for a pittance. If there is a short squeeze which isinevitable they sell their options at a much higher price to cover. Even Citiare now saying demand/supply will move into equilibrium in 2025.
I really don't see the value that all thesemarket tools like options/warrants etc add to the overall economy. In factgiven the price signals they create (e.g. mothballing of projects creatingmedium term undersupply and thereby driving up the cost of addressing globalwarming) they are likely doing damage. I wouldn't mind so much if there was abetter way of taxing market speculation (gambling) - sports/racing punterspay turnover and point of consumption taxes.
