Sometimes they exit via an upcoming CR having correctly anticipated or having knowledge of same. With PLS cash stash that is not an option here. Regardless of upcoming expansion plans. The upcoming partnering process I am sure will come with plenty of dollars attached be it via the IRA, the EU Critical Minerals Act or whatever. The Posco involvement should it happen i.e 18 to 30% will only cost $60m. The Calix demonstration plant minimal. So plenty of cash available and more being made by the day.
Could it be that this shorting is just a part of the bet that the shorters are making and there is or are other parts to the jigsaw. Like you hoping to hear from somebody with some insight.
Mind you they just might have got it wrong. They sometimes do.
