Not that I think you're suggesting it, but why on earth would PLS do a capital raise with $3b in the bank? Average volume is about 30m shares traded, and approx 550m are currently shorted. I don't think they'd cover as easily as you think, especially in the scenario you have put forth. Then hypothetically think what if a higher offer was put forward after the $4.20, say, $4.50?.
I dunno, seems a bit odd imo.
