I dont think short selling should be banned but certainly reduced say no more that 2-3% of a stock as it does provide liquidity. In saying that Wc8 is one of the least shorted stocks on the ASX, barely over 2%, sometimes too much credit is given to shorters. I would say it is more holders that were caught off guard than shorters. Stops hit, more trying to buy the dip then their stops hit, its a vicious circle once it starts.
