I just wanted to give an explanation of the plugs they are drilling out on the Earl and Rodney wells. It is my understanding that they start at the toe of the well, perforate and then frack that portion. They then set a plug, similar to a bridge plug, and seal it with a ball. They repeat the process along the lateral length of the well bore. When they are done and open the well, the fluid can pass thru the plugs although there is a restriction. So the well would be producing from all the stages but at a much restricted rate.
The amount of sand they use is significant, the more they use the more that is trapped in the fractures and the more flow they will have. The amount used in the Earl well, indicates a very good frack IMO. I would expect this to be a good producer for a long time. ELL
