Quick question mate. Sand is heavy and usually sinks quickly to the bottom of any liquid solution. Given that they need to pump the fraccing fluid a very long distance before it finally gets the the correct fraccing stage in the hole, do you have any idea how they manage to get the heavier elements of the fluid, ie sand and ceramic beads etc to disperse properly into the fraccing fluid so that they enter the cracks around the full 360 degree radius of the hole rather than just those at the bottom ?
Do they have to pulse it to stir it up and force the sand in as the crack open or is there some other trick that you are aware of ?
Not starting my own backyard well or anything but just curious given so many of us have so much wealth tied up in something that so few fully understand. Nice to have an expert of board.
