What were in the not too recent past considered two of the bluest of blue chips in American finance , i.e. Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae , both lost more than 30% of their value today ... this to me signals that the end of the American lifestyle they have been used to , ie plunder the world's resources, borrow from the rest of mankind and waste it on gas guzzling SUV's driving to their leafy suburbs filled with plasma tv's made in Taiwan and turning on their cable TV to watch quarterbacks getting paid hundreds of millions of dollars to throw a little leather ball to receivers who get paid hundreds of millions of dollars to catch the ball ...... IS JUST ABOUT OVER !!!
