Hi Rocket, Whilst I agree with most of your points.
The fact is that the electric car would pull the paint off your v8 Cruiser. Max torque at zero rev's. Tesla Roadster claiming 10,000 Nm, but in reality is closer to 1,027Nm...still not shabby.
Soft sand & a flat battery pack, you would be on the beach for a while waiting for your camping solar panel or genny to recharge to get home.
Re water....One of the guys at work drove his new hybrid Camry through flood waters.
And when I say flood waters it was below the door sill as no water got into the car . Fried/shorted the electric motor.
Think it was written off........
You know the old saying if its flooded (& you have an electric car) forget it
