Being an amateur astronomer, I remember the day in January 2006 when New Horizons was first launched. I couldn't wait, but knew it was not going to reach Pluto until July 2014. It seemed like an eternity thinking 9.5 years into the future being only 20 years old at the time. Over the past few years, I kept reminding everyone, "only this long left until Clyde reaches Pluto" yada yada.
