I post in the economic forum.

Recently the discussion has been around the threat that deflation will be to world economic instability.

The reaction by the government to the GFC was a 'throw money at it...spend our way out of it' band aide fix.

Here is my part in a discussion relating to a worldwide depression (as many in economics think could happen):

"...But these question were not directed to me. However I believe the concern is real. It is economic therefore many people just will not be able to see through the jargon, the form of the situation...

..Government response must be co-ordinated and planed but there I go probably wishing for too much...

..The PM and the government must be the best that Australia has ever had....

    ..That's a big ask"

The present PM and his kitchen cabinet are not the leadership this country needs. They have proven that they are just not capable of that role.

Tony Abbott hasn't had his opportunity but doesn't look to be cream either.

There is a fair to good chance that there will be another economic shock and it is very likely to be more potent, more sinister and definitely longer lasting than the last.

Heaven help us if all we have are politicians at the helm and not leaders !!!
