It is the holders of many millions of dollars in superannuation annuities which is responsible for depletion of the government coffers. But, if that loophole was created, one can hardly blame the very wealthy, and even the not-so-wealthy, from utilising it. Piece of cake. However, the lack of targeting that overutilised opportunity has grown more problematic with the passing years and something desperately needed to be rectified. It is unsustainable. But Shorten evidently does not have the skills to do so. And Bowen??? Who put him in the job of Treasurer (Shadow)?

The younger generation who are employed are carrying the load - high house prices (yes, they are at last falling but from a high base) and long living oldies. Add to the welfare sector (apart from the Aged Pension) and you have a melt-down just ready to happen. Now we have an unhealthy cohort of welfare recipients who know no other way to behave but to put out their hands for their "entitlement". Bill's voting base....
