Dave you must be a bit thick we have been over this policy time and time again companies have payed the tax not the taxpayer.
The Labor franking credit policy is the height of hypocrisy and is looking after their union mates at the expense of people who have worked hard to be self funded. If I put my self managed fund into a union fund the franking credits will be paid to the fund so there will be nothing for the government, the choice of who runs your super fund should not decide if franking credits are paid or not paid. The hypocrisy comes because at one stage refunding franking credits was Labor policy until John Howard ran with the policy and then Labor voted in favor of the policy but now Labor claim that the policy they voted in favor of is a rort and only some superannuation funds can receive franking credits.
