this is where I have to take Dud's part. imo he's right to site nuclear at the old coal sites. they already have enormous tailings covering hectares of dead wetlands just off the lake. Eraring is a prime example. the cost to remediate a coal site would be anyones guess, over several billion per site is mine.

with a nuclear site they perhaps could delay any cleanup for a future govt to sort out.
