The only thing the PM is really committed to is keeping her job. Upsetting millions of voters by causing house prices to fall would not go down well. Reality is the only reason the Carbon Tax is getting a voice is because she needs to placate the greens to keep hold of power.
The only fair way to get rid of negative gearing is to completely overhaul the taxation system.
