    This part of your post is ridiculous:

    'Newspapers have ridiculed, defamed and just plain hurt innocent people before and when they are caught out at best you might find a correction or apology buried in the paper on page 37.'

    You very clearly have never heard of the Bolt case, under which a journo was taken to court because he (supposedly)hurt a number of peoples' feeelings.

    I wish I could sue a number of people who have hurt my feelings, including an ex manager who was as close to a thug as anyone can get in the workplace
