    Dear benbradley,

Judge Louis Brandeis, prior to becoming a Supreme Court of the United States justice wrote a collection of essays in a book titled 'Other People's Money and How the Bankers Use It', which was published in 1914. All the chapters of the book appeared as articles in Harper's Weekly between 22 November 1913 and 17 January 1914.

In 'Chapter V: What Publicity Can Do' he began with,

"Publicity is justly commended as a remedy for social and industrial diseases. Sunlight is said to be the best of disinfectants; electric light the most efficient policeman."

Julia Gillard in 2010 said "Let's draw back the curtains and let the sun shine in, let our Parliament be more open than it ever was before."

The ALP says one thing and does another. It believes in letting the sun shine in, but only if suits the Left cause. Otherwise democracy is simply an impediment to the ALP's true aim- the complete implementation of its Leftist utopia. Look no further than the ETS, asylum seeker policy, economic management, Mining Tax, queer marriage etc.

The same is true of the unions- claim to represent the worker, until such time as the worker's rights must take second place to the unionists interests.
