watso cannot recall what wong said at the time of the irish referendum (in relation to whether or not that was the way to go) - but the referendum was widely publicized in the media as meaning that the march towards same sex marriage was irresistible.

less widely publicized was when the austrain parliament voted against same sex marriage

Out of 136 representatives, only 26 voted for and 110 against the proposal in a roll-call vote; the Green party, who proposed the resolution, was the only party to fully support marriage equality.

in ireland, where voting was not compulsory, the actual yes vote, as a percentage of the total voting population was relatively minor.

anyway, watso heard wong on the radio, claiming that the government party room vote showed that the government was deeply divided blah blah. - seeing that wong was as quiet as a church mouse, when gillard made it clear that she was not in favour of same sex marriage - ie basically wong publically supported gillard, by being a church mouse.

gays can happily ram it up their orifices, but in the meantime, just wait, and allow the public to decide.

also a good idea to not have a public vote, during an election campaign - that would sort of cloud the issue as being a party political thing.

who cares if a public vote will cost millions extra, if held independently - so much money is wasted anyway - but this is a matter for all of society to decide.

no doubt the gays are a bit worried, that there are heaps more straight people in society, than what there are bent people - and the straight people, when forced to vote under our compulsory voting system, will vote to keep the status quo.

frankly, the argument is pretty basic. the bent people might have trouble accepting this - but the butt hole was made for the removal of human waste (ie the solids). by contrast, the vagina (and all associated bits and pieces) was made for procreation .

the buggers can love each other as much as they like - one thing for sure is that they do not need a bit of paper to prove their love
