PM pushes for public vote on gay marriage, page-95

Alright justis, perseng, lappie TC and anyone ask for let me ask you this. You are often spruiking how people are racist if they criticize Muslims or aborigines. As we are a truly secular nation why doesn't somebody from the ABC or the labor or the greens get these groups views and ideas on the matter. They represent very large numbers of the population so what do you say to them if they oppose gay marriage.
For that matter I walked past a construction site last week and listened to a couple of hefty lads on the gate who wearing a certain union logo, talking about our gays using not particularly glowing terminology. So what does the CFMEU, AWU and other male dominated unions think about the issue.
