PM says Lynas can continue Malaysia operation, but must take away waste, page-40

Never mind about legal action. Never mind about cracking and leaching in Australia. Let’s get to the basics:

1. If you haven’t got the Mt Weld mine, the LAMP is rather useless and a foreign government can say all they like about the LAMP to no avail.
2. You also have to have cooperation to run the LAMP and the IP involved.

In my opinion WES may now be out of it unless they come up with a much higher offer – because they will now be under competition.

And who do you think Dr. M is talking about when he refers to “other buyers”

It can only be the Japanese – those that said they “would intervene” as necessary. Now they are.

The LAMP cannot possibly be closed as Japan and the Malaysian elite well know so this appears the only way out to avoid a diplomatic catastrophe.

I expect a higher bid from someone like Toyota (Or JV) that the FIRB might accept (But certainly not China).

An independent Lynas may be in danger – but Ms. Lacaze is a true fighter and won’t easily give up.

Bottom line – a much higher Share price from here in my opinion.
