Theverdict: Albanese was declared the winner by an audience of 100 undecided voters attending in Brisbane. He secured 40 votes, Morrison earned 35, and 25 voters were undecided. However, chief political correspondent David Crowe says both leaders played it so safe that neither was able to gain an edge and they ended up in a nil-all draw. Columnist and Chaser Dom Knight says the debate was the highlight of the campaign so far, but it’s a shame only a tiny fraction of voters would have been watching given it was on Sky News.
