I don't disagree, Charts have a place and are very useful when as you say they are incorporated in a Holistic appraisal,

You all seem to be missing the point that I am trying to make and the GAP rule is a classic example:

Somebody posts a Chart and then point out that there is a GAP, (no further advice given but implies that it needs to be filled). Joe Blow reads that observation and thinks "The SP is going to tank to the Gap level" so he sells ! when enough Joe Blow's have sold it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy.

The person preparing the Chart probably knows that the GAP is a "Break away Gap" and indicates a Rise, but your average DT who only looks at the graph probably has not got the faintest clue, all he sees is the "Sell now" indicator !
