Why do you think both the FMG share price and Shanghai stock exchange were up today despite the PMI being lower.
Iron ore price was flat today at $110.50 so with construction ramping up in China and a mini stimulus on the way I'd expect to see the price start moving up from here and more short covering tomorrow!
You should also read the AFR article I posted earlier today about FMG costs being $3 per ton below BHP by 2015...interesting read.
