This is where he is lying yet again. Australia Post is not taxpayer funded. They are required by their statutory law to stand on their own feet. In fact they pay tax on their profits plus collect over a billion dollars in revenue from items such as GST that goes straight to their single shareholder........the federal government.
He is trying to pull the wool over the eyes of aussies that still think because it is a government enterprise it must be our taxes that run it.

He did suck a few boomers in though as heard on radio. Callers were talking as if Australia Post was a cost centre and not a revenue stream.
