It's been widely reported the PM is heading to Japan to meet their new PM next week. And on the return journey he's stopping off in PNG.
Whilst there may be nothing purposely planned to announce whilst there in terms of aid or assistance, it presumably can't hurt commerce and trade between the two countries to have the personal relationship renewed.
On the other hand PNG PM Marape could drop a specific request in Morrison's lap. Anything which secures previously hesitant investment there or stimulates innovation in business can only add to the potential for Kina Bank to be involved, particularly with the CEO recently voicing this as the Bank's focus.
I'll be awaiting reports to come out of this visit with interest.
