I save regularly into Bitcoin. Dollar cost-averaging every month.
I also buy ABC Bullion gold and silver every month using dollar cost-averaging. I love their online 'Gold Saver' account. I buy unallocated (but audited monthly. I read their detailed statements regularly!) gold and silver every month in a 50:50 ratio. You pay spot + their small premium. Now bumping up significantly after running steady for the past 5 years.
Shame people don't dollar cost-average into PMs like this, or buying the physical stuff every quarter. Happy to earn 1% in a bank savings account, if they're lucky. I enjoy your posts Verily1. Keep 'em coming!
