The Short term/or daily SP is driven more by fickle sentiment than by any fundamental,discernable or even knowable changes in earnings forecasts etc IMO.

I have given up being interested in the daily moves because they make no sense to me and are only relevant from presenting a possible buy price. Mr Market has his manic ways that provide opportunity to the investor, but you can't understand daily swings anymore than you can understand a persons daily emotions?

If you are trading I guess you would be better off watching the XJO, our big miners and probably the US futures ahead of the daily swings in the poc.
