You guys must work for the media as adjectives such as explode are just great when commentating about conflicts in the middle east or the ukraine or porno movies but what does it infer really here? I have heard nubile finance reporters quote that Stock ABC has risen a huge 4per cent or Stock DEF has rocketed by 5per cent.

Sure they rose but more like an old codger who takes the wrong smaller quarter dose of Viagra. Not exactly a rocket and I dunno about his explosion but underdoing yhe dosage for him may only have the benefit that he wont pee on his shoes.

I prefer rocketed as a word, tends to have more of a mental image associated with much increased positivity as compared to exploded. Shrapnel also hits the floor when the Claymore explodes but we all know what happened to Challenger 11 when it rocketed then wanted to come back to earth.
