    Could be both are astride an outstanding deposit of pegmatite hosted Nb and Ta - and price is right atm. IMO - not advice.

    A point which seems to be lost is that the SUM extention just to the west of PNN ground is a granted ML. That could mean SUM might be first ASX to actually mine niobium. And maybe mean PNN could get their permitting quickly too.

    Lots of weekend research - specially if thoughts are that the market is bottomed.

    All just IMO.
