I don’t know why I am responding to this because I don’t think you actually want to look at the PolyNovo company reasonably or understand what they are doing.
To your points -
- New products I somewhat but not hugely agree with you , BTM and its derivatives are not the end game and although they still have significant growth they won’t be the holy grail forever. As a platform technology new products probably breast and hernia but possibly other indications is where the LONG TERM future is.
Swami beefed up his R&D and Technical teams in response to this, they have been in place less than 12 months, they had work already underway before they arrived but breakthrough products don’t happen overnight and companies don’t tell the market and competition every iteration of what they are working on.
Look how long the base technologies took to commercialise, I am confident patience and patients will be rewarded in the RELATIVELY near term.
Great platform technology + beefed up strong team = Success.
- In saying stick to only North America you are arguing against yourself. The best way / only way to maximise “ ageing “ products is geographical expansion, especially high volume potential markets. This is a technology hard to replicate yet high margin filling a real need in both sophisticated healthcare markets and will in emerging healthcare markets.
This base product application of the platform technology still has GROWTH POTENTIAL.
Real unmet need + affordable at margin technology = Huge future long term growth .
