OR if you don’t mind totally ignoring the opportunity cost and raw cost of holding when you could get a compound interest of 4-5% just in a long term bank deposit. That’s equivalent to a 21% return over 4 years and 28% over 5 years so there is a cost of stagnation. In property in the right location the return would be much higher.
