Mate you can't help the people who are so delusional as to think it's both possible and a good idea to have a perfectly fair market (not just that, some of these guys think that fair = prices only going up!). Nothing in life is fair, and that's for very good reason. Society wouldn't function, and whilst the commies will disagree it's a fact proven by history. It's designed to have a balance of both, and anyone who suggests the ASX isn't strictly regulated as it is must be new to the market, as the ASX and ASIC are some of the best globally when it comes to regulation (hence why we've avoided many of the recent financial crises eg Asia financial crisis, GFC etc). They know how to regulate the market to ensure that it is sufficiently fair to provide retail investors substantial opportunities to win, whilst ensuring that there is still liquidity and price discovery. It's not their jobs to ban everything that prevents prices from only going up, it's their job to design and enforce a regulatory system that ensures a balance, and they're doing a very good job at it.


I agree, complaining and whinging about evil manipulators and blaming everything on them rather than trying to learn how to win is a fools approach. The stock market is definitely a game where the little guy can win, the long term holders here know that, if you are "tricked" into selling to them cheap that's on you though. This is a dog eat dog world where the best win and the rest lose, and if that's not something people can accept they should probably be putting their money in a savings account not into the stock market.
