I agree. I worked in a regional centre for many years as an anaesthetist and never saw our product used. Diabetic foot ulcers are very prevalent in the regions and could benefit and prevent amputation in many cases. I phoned Polynovo to get them to get a rep to communicate with Portmacquaries two vascular surgeons. i hope they did. If each of the two were to use our product once per week the reps base annual salary would be covered. More importantly a patient might walk out of hospital with 2 legs. After a DFU trial it will be best practice and surgeons will follow to avoid risk of litigation.
