Looks like it comes in a liquid form in syringes and solidifies at body temperature. From a quick google search it looks like it could be useful when combined with bone graft material for orthopaedic and dental indications. Perhaps also useful for the cosmetic injectable space, and I see they're trying to develop a nasal spray for vaccination delivery instead of using needles. Could be interesting for those indications.
Will it compete with PNV? I dont think it competes with any current PNV products to any great extent. Maybe with MTX for small things like finger tip or nailbed injuries but I have not seen any post operative results. It would possibly compete with any future injectable products that PNV develops (if they do).
Always important to look at how economical it is and what the margins are like.
It would be unlikely to displace BTM for soft tissue defects or burns. You'd need a lot of gel and a lot of patience in appplying it, and I'm not sure if the structural integrity in gel form would be anywhere near as good as that of BTM. Even for small wounds like fingertip or nailbed injuries its uncertain how robust the gel would be and how it would maintain structural integrity. We don't know how dermis and skin heals into or over it. It's also unclear whether it is suitable for grafting skin onto.
Even if it does work as good as BTM or MTX for burns or soft tissue defects or ulcers, is it cheaper to use, easier and faster to use, and easy to ship and store? Most likely no on all accounts.
