Bar, you appear as keen as me for PNV to fly.
For me, for PNV as a company, and we all would be happy and proud as punch for that!

Not much happening re PNV on market or HC, so I wrote the following, for no particular purpose but it might spark some commentary so that we might learn more of our product and potential uses.

Of interest to me at least I recently had an ICD inserted to deal with electrical issues with my heart. The surgeon's notes stated the ICD was fashioned in a envelope*, to assist to stabilise it between my pectoral muscle and fat, with anodes into the hearts ventricle. . (I was hoping the envelope was fashioned with BTM and then sewn in place!!!!). I had follow up appointment with the surgeon yesterday, so asked if he used BTM!!!! I was disappointed to learn that fashioned envelope only meant positioned. He explained that infection was the major risk they managed, hence they minimalized inserting anything into the body, that area especially, as it was not able to manage infection well.
Interesting comments for a number of reasons.

Re the ICD, they need to stabilise it until the wound repairs, so I needed to minimalise lifting the arm for some time, not sleep on that side, etc. As we all now understand more about dermis I suspected NovoSorb would have been ideal for 'the job"!
NovoSorb, I feel would have proven it's sterile and safety characteristics, and would result in a far more stabilised device from day one, and facilitated dermis growth to disguise the implanted ICD long term. As it now looks as if I have a packet of cigarettes in my chest!

Are there any parallels with :
-breast implant sling, and issues they have faced?
-implanted novoSorb, e.g. for the upcoming hernia and mess,? What are the differences with our cavity filler using MTX? Is that safer as there is a better / safer ability to deal with infection in different parts of the body? (Obviously I'm no medico so please excuse my layman terms.

My recent dealings with hospitals has been interesting, not negative, but it seems to me they are quiet stayed until they decide to adopt change (obvious maybe, but it goes to show the job PNV sales people need to get adoption). Also communication with patients is less than for example finance and technology industry, where device workings and "announcements "is well documented and communicated in my experience, (verses a needs to know basis in hospitals. Questions were answered, but not elaborated on. Questions to me only opens the door for more questions! They obviously don't want to spend their valuable time in that space!

I found some parallels in my experience and am always keen anything BTM / PNV. A little disappointed I don't have a little BTM in me!
