You will also notice that the Vanguard group only became a large shareholder around March 10 or so, they did exactly the same to quite a few companies in Mining and also Biotech area, they got in at the beginning of the drop caused by Covid19 and I reckon they started to short the hell out of it, and the result is obvious.
I see this as a problem where these overseas investment banks hold shares for other entities, and perhaps this is the reason why our Government hasn't prohibited shorting here in Oz? I don't believe it would have any effect really?
How the hell would the ASX or ASIC know if one of those entities behind Vanguard lent shares to another of them under the same Umbrella?
