I still struggle to get me head around this a little bit.
when they short it to being the price down is the idea that they sell shares on low volume to crash it then buy on bigger volume when its low so net net increase in holding?
or do they operate completely separate.
they short it, bring price right down. close all short positions then start buying?
so they make money on way down and up?
if that's the case wouldn't them closing their short position just rise the stock price anyway?
