I worked most of my life as a radiographer and sat through countless angiograms on patients with poor blood supply to their lower limbs due to various co- morbidities.
Countless dressings followed by a snip here and a tuck there because there wasn’t enough blood supply to heal the wound. On most occasions it was marginal. A tad more blood supply would have done the job and attempts at closing the wound sometimes but sadly not often worked.
If the preliminary results are anywhere near as “fully closed at 7 weeks” then the health system will save billions of dollars as a result.
Yes billions not millions
