I have a very cloudy and unreliable crystal ball but logic tells me that there is a lot less potential reward shorting a stock already well under 50% of its peak than there was at peak, and a lot more risk. The low hanging fruit has already been picked. Any kind of good news between now and the end of the year could kick off a rally, for example naming a new CEO, or a significant pick up in revenue. We can be certain that a rally WILL come, no one knows for sure just when, but it WILL happen, there can be no question about that. Today’s shorters are playing with short-fused dynamite, in my opinion.
